Looking at the previous years work I have decided that these elements are vital in a successful music video:

- Making sure there is sustainable eye contact with your audience as you want to sell yourself and your music as a product package, so therefore you need to be able to properly connect with your target market/audience.

-A varied use of different shots (ECU,CU, MCU, LS) , different angles (titled, high, low)  and camera movement (pans, tracking, hand held).

-Appropriate costume, hair and makeup helping to enhance the actors performance and the editing techniques up to a much higher standard.

-Confident performances making sure good acting is done when performing the song throughout.

-Precise  lip syncing

-Different and interesting Locations

- Good song choice. Catchy and infectious.

- Location & visuals to match the song. Or have something to do with the overall message.

- Pace of editing should be varied
