This particular shot was originally far to dark to use on our video. This was because we were filming late into the evening once so our footage seemed blurry and far too dark. However, as we were running out of time we decided we just had to work with what we had. So as a group we looked through the 'Effects' category on our editing site 'Premier' and found that we war e able to adjust the brightness in some of our shots. We started messing around and managed to make our clip look a bit brighter. We also used a special effect called 'Watermark'. By doing this we thought that this particular edit made it look like the narrative scene we had filmed was a memory, looking back on the struggling couples relationship.
This next shot is where we see the first glimpse of a violent and abusive relationship and the first stage where the relationship goes wrong. In this particular shot we adjusted the brightness to bring up the colour.
In this particular shot we made sure that the lyrics had a relationship with our music video. (Goodwin's Theory). The line in the song is 'lead me up the staircase won't you' and as you can see we have our female lead walking up a staircase. When showing this part of the video to others they have noticed this relationship between the lyrics and video, so hopefully this means it has been an effective method.
This particular shot links to our production company name which is WWSD. This stands for 'What Would She Do'. This is perfect in explaining the situation that our main character is in. Our group member May came up with this idea and I think it is brilliant as it also would make the fans feel personal satisfaction if they knew what the 'WWSD' shot stood for. Only fans of the star would obviously know this but for the people who don't, it would entice them into finding out more!
